"A tip to learn a language? Pay for your lessons!"

Barbara Bonfiglio is a DJ born in Sicily, who migrated to Canada at seven. After learning French as her first foreign language, she delved into English when she finished high school and learnt Spanish during her trips around the world. Her favourite language though? It's German!

"German is sexy!", laughs Barbara speaking to SBS Radio. "Is is not at all a rough language, we have been conditioned by Nazi films... in fact it is quite sweet".

Barbara's advice to improve your chances to learn a language is practical. "Pay a lot for your course: when you are afraid to lose the money, you gain extra-motivations!".
