From the 3rd of September the creators of some Italian start-ups will be down under to present their innovative projects in the agrifood sector. Their initiatives aimed at responding to the challenges of climate change posed to the global food market.

The agrifood sector is central for the global economy considering that "about 7 trillion dollars is the entire agrifood chain and 40% of the population on earth is involved in this chain" as Marco Gualtieri, President and founder of Seeds & Chips, explained to SBS. Seeds & Chips is the largest food tech event in the world that will participate in the Australian edition of Italian innovation Days, along with the 68th American Secretary of State John Kerry.
If food production is the main cause of climate change, it is also the first victim because climate change in recent years has taken away thousands of kilometers from agriculture
So how the technologies and tools available can help us enhance the food production system? To find out the proposals of the Italian start-ups the Italian Consulate in Melbourne organized the event Italian Innovation Days Australia at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds from the 3rd of September.
