The first test match of the 2019 Ashes Series between England and Australia has conclude overnight. Australia literally humiliated the hosts winning by 251 runs.
Man of the match was Steve Smith, who returned after a one-year ban after the so-called sandpaper-gate. The scandal also resulted in the ban of two other players – David Warner and Cameron Bancroft – who also returned in this match. Spin bowler Nathan Lyon, too, had a day to remember, taking six wickets.
To analyse the first Ashes Test Match we spoke with the honorary president of the Italian Cricket Federation, Simone Gambino.
