Australia has became the world’s largest exporter of liquified natural gas, with production forecast to reach $51 billion in 2019-20.


In the last financial year, liquified natural gas (LNG) companies have contributed just over one billion in royalties.

In comparison, Qatar managed to obtain 25 times this amount with less production. Why is it so?
