Salina is one of the seven Aeolian Islands: a place that attracts thousands of tourists every year for its cultural, food and wine excellencies.


"A rich territory, of real people who work the land" this is the island of Salina, in the Aeolian archipelago, for Giuseppe La Malfa. His job is to accompany tourists to discover the island's food and wine products, especially capers and Malvasia wine.

Salina is one of the seven Aeolian Islands: a place that attracts thousands of tourists every year for its cultural, food and wine excellencies.

Marzia Beninati, is an art historian promoting tourism and events on the island. As she reminded SBS Italian listeners, "For us Aeolians, Australia is the eighth island".
