Sunday at 8.30pm on SBS - The Great Escape with Guy Martin

Guy Martin wants to recreate the most iconic motorcycle stunt in movie history - the jump at the climax of the classic 1963 war film The Great Escape. After a mass breakout of allied airmen from Stalag Luft III, Steve McQueen’s character, Lieutenant Virgil Hilts, steals a motorbike and attempts to jump a pair of border fences into Switzerland. He clears the first fence but then crashes and gets recaptured. Guy not only wants to recreate that same jump, but he also wants to go one better; doing what Virgil Hilts couldn’t - and clear both fences in one go.

Monday at 8.30pm on SBS Food - Ottolenghi's Mediterranean Island Feast

Yotam travels to Sardinia to explore the island's unique food traditions and flavours. In the beautiful fishing port of Bosa, he cooks one of the Mediterranean's greatest meals: freshly caught lobster roasted on an open fire. Leaving the coast behind, Yotam travels deep into Sardinia's rugged heartland, sharing a meal of spit-roasted lamb and a salad of figs and roasted radicchio, with three generations of shepherds. And on a mountain top at dawn he learns the secret of producing silky soft cheese for a dessert of ricotta fritters drizzled with golden honey and orange zest.

Tuesday at 10.30am on SBS Food - Simply Italian

This episode is all about how to create the perfect filled pasta. Michela takes us back to Italy to the stunning Cinque Terre coastline in north east Italy, where she learns the do's and don’ts of cooking shellfish with fresh pasta from chef Alessandro Barili. The visit inspires Michela to create the most beautiful Lobster Ravioli with a Light Asparagus and Tomato Sauce for her friends.

Wednesday at 8.30pm on SBS Food - Cook Like an Italian with Silvia Colloca

Italians are without a doubt some of the most resourceful home cooks on the planet, they believe in the time honoured art of cooking once and eating twice. Silvia makes divine ricotta filled Italian crepes, and then using the leftover ingredients shows us how to create a rustic story pie from the north of Italy and a heart baked pasta, pasta al forno.
