Coronavirus: the number of victims in Italy rises

The number of victims of COVID-19 in Italy has risen to 11, but the tensions between regional administrations and the government are still unresolved.


The number of COVID-19 victims in Italy has risen to 11, 9 in Lombardy and 2 in Veneto. The north of the peninsula has the highest number of cases, but the first ones have been confirmed in the the centre-souths, Sicily and Tuscany.

Italian Premier, Giuseppe Conte, met with the regional governors to try to standardize the ordinances issued in recent days; the editor in chief of the newspaper Il Dubbio, Carlo Fusi, told SBS Italian what the outcome of the meeting was.
