Coronavirus won't silence Turnbull

Mr Turnbull criticised Mr Morrison's bid to portray himself as the "daggy dad" from the suburbs during the election campaign as cringe-worthy.

The federal government has announced that it will use a smartphone app to track the movement of people and therefore the coronavirus, but Canberra is "distracted" by the Turnbull affair: the former prime minister's memoir is already causing frictions inside of the Coalition even before being available in bookstores.


Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Marise Payne calls for an independent investigation into the work of the World Health Organization and the spread of the pandemic outside China, while Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews is optimistic about the possibility of beating COVID-19. We talked about it with Australian politics correspondent, Paul Scutti.
