The preliminary phase of the Cricket World Cup in England has concluded after a long round robin that started on May 30th. India, Australia, England and New Zealand (in this order) qualified for the semi-finals.
We asked honorary president of the Italian cricket federation, Simone Gambino, to comment on this first phase of the tournament, which left several observers unconvinced of the 10-team formula decided by the organisers.
