The show Affabulazioni with Mimmo Mangione & Adi Sappir will be presentaed on the occasion of the XIX Week of the Italian Language in the Word at CO.AS.IT. Melbourne.
“The show takes its title from a theatrical piece by Pier Paolo Pasolini. AFFABULAZIONE – meaning: fantastic narration, plot of a work of the imagination. Using classical monologues by Plautus, Terentius, Dante, Cielo D’Alcamo, Goldoni, Pirandello, Eduardo De Filippo, Dario Fo and more, I shall accompany my audience in a journey through the history of the Italian language.
Our companions in this journey will be great theatre, authors and actors. I will be the jester-affabulatore who tells and weaves all these stories, whilst the cellist Adi Sappir will contribute the musical part of the show, improvising and playing Paganini, Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. The whole show interweave poetic and dramatic nuances, and reflect the inexhaustible colours of life!" explained Mimmo Mangione.
