Floraleda Sacchi is a musician, composer and producer who creates a musical world that blends acoustic and electronic harp in classical, minimal and pop music. She performs tonight at 6.30pm at Melbourne's Italian Cultural Institute.

Trained as a classical musician, she has won 16 awards, a Latin Grammy, has played at Carnegie Hall in New York and in the best venues around the world, being one of the most sought-after harpists of her generation.

She recorded albums for Decca and Deutsche Grammophon, but then decided to strike out on her own, founding her record label (Amadeus Arte) and writing her own music combining electronics, loopers and fx pedals to develop a unique harp sound and a new artistic identity.
