Italy-born Federico Infantino is a former professional windsurfer. After touring the world, competing at the highest level, he decided to move to Western Australia, looking for the best waves in the world to perfect his surf technique.
And last week his documentary That's Surf West was screened in Bondi Beach as part of the Ocean Lovers Festival.
Originally from Bordighera, in the Northern Italian region of Liguria, Federico came to Australia for the first time in 2013 with a working holiday visa, without initially thinking of a permanent transfer, but only to follow his love for the surfboard and the sea.
He now lives in the Margareth River region, his new home, but in the past years Federico has been traveling up and down the Western Australian coast meeting and filming the best surf and windsurf riders in the world.
