"The Life of Giovanni Morelli in Risorgimento Italy" by Jaynie Anderson, Emeritus Professor of Melbourne University, traces the biography of a prominent historical figure in the formation of an Italian unitary culture.
Patriot, politician and art historian, Morelli lived, and fought, some of the fundamental moments in the history of the Italian Risorgimento: from the Five Days of Milan to the sessions of the first Parliament of the first Kingdom of Italy in Turin.
The book, published in English under the title "The life of Giovanni Morelli in Risorgimento Italy", will be presented at Buxton Contemporary in Southbank in Melbourne on Wednesday 11 March at 6pm.
