Edie Beattie is an Australian girl who challenged herself with a 10 months long stay in Italy.

Following her teacher's suggestion, Edie chose to spend few months in Norther Italy to learn Italian and a new way of life. Now at Year 10, she tells SBS how she managed to cope with her new environment and learn to speak fluent Italian.
