Two weeks ago the presidents of the various Comites of Australia met in Perth, where they signed a document in which they asked the Italian government for more funds for the Committees for Italians Abroad.
In the last Italian Budget, the funding previously given for the functioning of these bodies established in 1985 and directly elected by the Italians abroad has not been confirmed. The delegates of the various Comites of Australia also discussed the upcoming seminar with a view to form a network of young Italians in the world, which begins today in Palermo. We talked about these topics with presidents of the Victoria and Tasmania Comites, Francesco Pascalis, NSW Comites, Maurizio Aloisi, and Queensland and NT Comites, Mariangela Stagnitti.
