As part of the events linked to the fourth Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the official opening gala was held in Sydney on Monday night. It included the awarding of Italian restaurants and chefs who stood out in the year that is about to end.

During the event we interviewed the general secretary of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Sydney, Rachele Grassi, the NSW Consul General, Andrea De Felip, and some of the chefs attending the event: Andrea Tranchero, Head Chef of Barilla, Fabio Stefanelli , who received the Italian Hospitality Quality Plaque and Paolo Gatto, who received official recognition from the Italian Federation of Chefs in Australia.
