At 18.09 local time on Tuesday, the same time when 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in the port of the Lebanese capital exploded a week ago, the country held a vigil for the more than 200 victims of the blast.

The vigil brought chaos back to Lebanon, already hit by a deep economic, social and political crisis.

There's been a third day of demonstrations on the streets of Beirut with police firing tear gas at protestors trying to force their way into the Parliament, even as Prime Minister Hassan Diab was announcing he was on his way out.

Here an update about the crisis in the country with Correspondent Michele Giorgio.
