The story of Tracy Edwards, a 24-year-old cook on charter boats, who became the skipper of the first ever all-female crew to enter the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1989. A review by Alessandro Vecchiarelli.


Maiden is a documentary film by Alex Holmes about Tracy Edwards and the crew of the Maiden as they compete as the first all-woman crew in the 1989-1990 Whitbread Round the World Race. The film debuted at the 2018 Toronto International Film festival.
