Thousands fleeing conflict or poverty in Central America end up in Mexico, hoping to transit into the USA. 

Now the Mexican government is trying to get a better handle on the flows amid pressure from US President Donald Trump to clamp down on migration to the US. 

Rossana Stanchi, spokesperson for AVSI in Mexico, describes the situation in the country.
