During a trip to Rome by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Italy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China governing cooperation under the Belt and road initiative (BRI).
Researcher Gabriele Abboandanza talked to us about the impact of the BRI on Italy, which was the the first G7 nation to officially endorse it.
