Among the Italian-Australians who received honours on Australia Day there is also Paul Signorelli, who manages the "Doltone House" group of reception venues in Sydney. As of last Sunday, Paul is the proud owner of an Order of Australia medal.
Signorelli is keen to point out that his birth name is Paolo and that he is proud of his Sicilian heritage. At the base of the recognition is his policy of offering charity organisations his venues at discounted prices, so that the money raised for charitable initiatives is not burdened by excessive management costs.
