In Australia, the Nervi System was adopted for the first time for the construction of the Australia Square Tower, designed by Harry Seidler, with whom Nervi worked for more than 15 years. For the first time the exhibition will show the work developed in the 60s and 70s by Nervi and his office in Rome for Harry Seidler.
The exhibition, which opens this afternoon (July 11), is curated by Paolo Stracchi, architectural engineer and professor of architectural technology at the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
The exhibition on Pier Luigi Nervi is held at the Tin Sheds Gallery of the Sydney School of Architecture, Design & Planning from today until 7 September and at Australia Square from 18 September to 10 October.
