At La Mama Theatre in Carlton, Melbourne, a show inspired by the famous Italian character debuts on May 15.

The theatre company Make a Scene is revisiting a classic of Italian literature, Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, but with a bit of fusion.

The original masks and music are in fact made in Bali.

Assistant director Rosa Campagnaro talked to us during a break of the rehearsals of this Australian Pinocchio.

The show is on between May 15 and 26 at the La Mama Theatre in Carlton, Melbourne, and it will be touring in Australian schools.
