The new viaduct that replaced the Morandi bridge, opened to the public at 10 pm on August 4, was inaugurated on Monday in Genoa.


Now the east and west areas of the city are reconnected after the tragic accident which saw the partial collapse of the Morandi bridge on August 14, 2018 killing 43 people.

We talked about with freelance journalist Carla Scarsi from Genoa.
