An impossible parallel between the purity of primal painting and the contemporary phenomenon of selfies.


A cycle of cave paintings dating back to around 44,000 years ago has been found on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. A recent study published on the magazine Nature suggests that it is the oldest art form discovered so far.

Our art expert, Andrea Candiani, starts from this idea to propose an impossible parallel between the purity of these art forms and the contemporary phenomenon of selfies.
