Cristian Bonetto was born in Carlton, Melbourne's "Little Italy", from Italian parents. His love affair with Italy has a long history, and over his long career as a travel writer he has been able to share it with the world, working on several Lonely Planet guide books.
His latest book, published by Hardy Grant, is dedicated to Rome and promises to reveal "the finest shopping, eating and drinking spots in 18 city precincts".
