Albanian tenor Saimir Pirgu says he owes his outstanding career to Luciano Pavarotti under whom he studied when moved to Italy.
The Lavazza Italian Film Festival will close in every city in Australia showing Ron Howard's film Pavarotti, a tribute to arguably the greatest tenor of all time.
Tenor Saimir Pirgu was a young opera singer student in Italy when Luciano Pavarotti discovered him and took him under his wings. The Albanian born opera singer and talks to SBS Italian about his experience with his great master.
