The art work created in memory of the 2015 terrorist attack in Paris was hidden for six months in Abruzzo.

The Mourning Girl is the title of a mural by English celebrate artist Banksy created in 2018 on the emergency exit door of the Bataclan theatre in Paris, in memory of the 90 victims of the 2015 attack.

The door, stolen in January 2019, was found in Italy thanks to the investigations of the L'Aquila District Prosecutor's Office, which ordered the search of an isolated farmhouse in the Abruzzo countryside. The work had been hidden for six months in the attic of an isolated cottage outside Teramo.
