The Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli is down under for a series of events.

Paolo Nespoli is a European Space Agency astronaut. He visited the International Space Station in 2007 as a member of the STS-120 crew and returned for six months from December 2010 to May 2011 with Expedition 26/27. Paolo's third flight to the Space Station was from July to December 2017 as part of a barter agreement between NASA and Italy's ASI space agency, which made him Europe's oldest astronaut at the age of 60. Paolo now returns to Adelaide as a part of the UniSA and International Space University Southern Hemisphere Space Program.

On Friday 18 January the South Australian Italian Association and Com.It.Es South Australia will host the event "An evening under the stars with Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli" in Adelaide.
