The witches of Triora

In 1587 dozens of alleged witches were arrested and tortured in Triora, an isolated mountain village between Piedmont and Liguria. Two years later, the inquiry was silenced and the women involved were deported to Genoa, their fate never to be known. What happened to the witches of Triora?
