Speaking at the White House, US President Donald Trump announced the declaration of a national emergency at the Mexican border, claiming that the United States is facing an invasion of drugs, gangs, criminals and people.

Trump also called on Britain, France, Germany and other European allies to take the 800 ISIS fighters who, "we have captured in Syria, and try them. The Caliphate is ready to fall. The alternative is not good and it is that we will be forced to release them. Trump added that the US "do not want to see these fighters penetrate Europe, where they are expected to go. We have done and spent a lot, now it's up to others to do the work they can do".
