With Italian consul general for NSW, Andrea De Felip, and Claudio Scamporlino, who had organised a community search, we talked about the tragic death of Mattia Fiaschini, the 24-year-old from Cesenatico who lost his life during a hike in the Blue Mountains.

The lifeless body of Mattia Fiaschini was found by NSW police on Sunday 2 February reportedly at the bottom of an escarpment near Baltzer Lookout (pictured). The young man had lived and worked in Sydney for about two years.
