Italian author Elena Ferrante's identity has been revealed. This is the claim of journalist Claudio Gatti, who conducted an extensive search for clues analysing tax returns and assets of an Italian translator who collaborates with the publishing house e/o. However, his article has triggered a backlash which he probably did not anticipate. We asked New Zealand-based writer Giovanni Tiso his opinion on the outing of the world-renown writer.
