Un'epidemia di peste polmonare ha colpito il Madagascar e il personale di Medici Senza Frontiere sta supportando lo staff del Ministero della Salute per far fronte all'emergenza.

Secondo i dati ufficiali, dal primo agosto al 17 ottobre, il Madagascar ha registrato un totale di 1.032 casi di peste.

"La peste è una malattia che spaventa, ma attraverso azioni concrete e rapide si può ridurre drasticamente il numero di morti e porre fine all’epidemia”, ci ha detto Luca Fontana, esperto di acqua e potabilizzazione per MSF.
