A Corroboree and a Haka will be part of Perth's ANZAC Day

In 2018, the stirring performance of a Noongar corroboree and a Maori haka on ANZAC Day following the dawn service in Perth captured the world’s attention. The two men behind the iconic ceremony are again returning to King’s Park, one of several Indigenous-led war commemorations taking place on ANZAC Day across Australia.


Leon Ruri and Ash Penfold are two men on a shared mission.

The Maori man from New Zealand and Noongar man from Western Australia met in Perth, where they each founded charities that promote mental health and well-being through Indigenous culture.
