This year marks the 50th anniversary of the death of composer Benjamin Britten. From his opera "A Midsummer Night's Dream," based on Shakespeare's famous play, we present a recording conducted by Britten himself, featuring the fantastical and mystical fairy chorus that graces the climax of the story. Ayako Ohtake, a Sydney-based Japanese soprano singer, has selected ’Now the hungry lion roars' this month. Ayako hosts monthly music segment called VIVA! Opera for SBS Japanese.
