The world’s largest aeroplane manufacturer says it’s working to restore public trust after two deadly crashes in the past six months. Boeing says it has made changes to its 737 MAX jets to make a safety feature standard, but many are questioning why they were optional in the first place.

Boeing is a brand in damage control.  Boeing Vice President Mike Sinnett says he understands the challenge ahead.

Authorities are investigating, but the emergency is unrelated to the anti-stall software suspected of being behind the crash which killed 157 people on board an Ethiopian Airlines flight in March and 346 people in late October, on a Lion Air jet in Indonesia.
