Despite earthbound tensions, international collaborations in space stay strong

While tensions between the Kremlin and the West reach breaking point down on Earth, international collaborations up in space are staying strong.


Experts say that the International Space Station remains largely isolated from tensions over Ukraine, with both Russian and U-S astronauts instead pursuing missions to benefit all of humankind.

As hostilities escalate down on earth between Russia and the West, relations between the two regions up in space remain above political tensions.

According to the former head of the National Space Council, Scott Pace, the heightened Western fears of an invasion from Russia should not affect the International Space Station.
