"My whole life I wanted to become a hero" - Pro-wrestler Mr. Rionne "Fujiwara" McAvoy

Tokyo-based Australian documentary director, Mr. Rionne McAvoy recently shared with us the story behind his first film, which sheds light on the struggles of single mothers in Japan. Prior to becoming a film director, he was known as a pro-wrestler “Fujiwara Rionne”.


On the surface, the two professions have nothing in common, but as it turns out, he had pursued these fields to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a hero.
