Kenya's booming industry - writing academic essays for other people

Last year, Australia banned essay selling services, and similar legislation is being considered in England.


It’s called “academic writing” – authoring papers for hire for students in the US and UK.

Universities around the world are now introducing legislation to ban so-called 'essay mill' websites, where a student in London or New York goes online to pay somebody to do their essay for them.

The chances are that the work will be picked up by someone in Kenya.
