To celebrate the 50th anniversary of SBS, a live radio programme was broadcast from the Gold Coast on 27 June. The first two guests to take to the stage were Yoko Briese and Yoko Kashino from the Japanese Society of the Gold Coast (JSGC), which is holding a major community event, Japan and Friends Day, on 24 August.
