The e-Safety Commissioner has created a course to help older Australians use online and mobile banking. A range of resources will aim to boost seniors confidence so they can manage their money at the touch of their fingertips

For some older Australians navigating the new digital era is hard enough, but amid the COVID-19 pandemic it can be even harder to avoid the inevitability of going online.

Over 60 per cent of seniors undertake online banking at least monthly but many are still reluctant to, mainly due to security concerns.

Ms Grant said the new course will teach older Australians how to safely set up and use mobile banking, pay bills and transfer money.
