"My children led us to the path they chose to go for", said Yuki Sakakibara, a mother of Kai and Saya who are the BMX racing athletes representing Australia.

Yuki and her husband Martin bought a bike to Kai when he was only 2. Since then, he enjoyed riding his bike so much that he started BMX when he was 3. Along with Kai, Saya also started riding BMX around the age of 4.

Both are now competing at world championships. Kai currently sits 7th in Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) BMX Racing Ranking while Saya sits No.2.

They have just competed the first 2 rounds of European Cup in Zolder, Belgium and are now doing the last preparation for the first 2 rounds of 2019 World Cup in Manchester, the United Kingdom starting on April 27th.
Winning this year's races is particularly crucial to qualify for Tokyo Olympics 2020.

How does Yuki feel about her children's incredible achievements? Has she ever had any concern when Kai and Saya told her and Martin that BMX Racing is what they want to do in their lives?
