SBS looks back at the 50th anniversary of Operation Babylift

This month will mark 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War, and the beginning of one of Australia's largest post-war migrations. In that year – 1975 – SBS started broadcasting in-language radio programs to reach Australia's growing migrant communities. At the same time, as an extraordinary rescue operation was taking place – the evacuation of babies and children from Vietnamese orphanages, who were brought to Australia in "Operation Babylift".
