A special exhibition 'Dangerously Modern' featuring the works of female artists who left Australia to study art in Europe from the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century is currently being held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney. We spoke to four Japanese volunteer guides.

We interviewed Kaoru Morioka, Nobuko Matsuda, Midori Furze, and Chie Hamada, all Japanese volunteer guides at the art gallery. Each of these four women has ventured overseas from Japan to pursue new lives.
