ヒンズー教の神様ヴィシュヌ。世界の維持を目的とした神様で、危機が訪れるといろいろな化身（アバター）を送り世界を助けます。NSW州立美術館で開催中の特別展、「アバター：ヴィシュヌの化身展」について、日本語ボランティアガイドの 松田延子さん、チョーカー和子さんに聞きました。

NSW州立美術館の特別展、「アバター：ヴィシュヌの化身展（Avatar Forms of Vishnu）」が、10月5日まで開催中です。

この特別展では、様々な国から、1500年にわたるヒンズー教の神様、ヴィシュヌの様々な物語を、彫刻、絵画、織物、写真を通して表現されています。
