A record number of overseas voters register for 2017 Korean Presidential election have come forth.

According to the National Election Commission in Korea, A record number of overseas voters register for 2017 Korean Presidential election have come forth. Total 297,919 overseas voters registered for the May 9 Korean Presidential election. The number accounts for 15.1 percent of around 1.97 million overseas South Koreans eligible to take part in the election.

In Sydney, 8,857 voters registered for this election and around 3,000 voters registered as well in Melbourne.
