Australian paraglider pilot arrested in Nepal

A 63-year-old Australian citizen has been arrested in Nepal and charged with sexual abuse of children.

Police authorities in Nepal have accused the 63-year-old Australian man - Thomas Alfred Berryman -  of sexually abusing children in tourist hotspot town of Pokhara in Western Nepal.

According to Dipak Regmi, a spokesman for the local police, a special unit of the force raided a flat rented by Mr Berryman on early hours of Tuesday.

Two boys aged 12 and 14 were found in the rented property according to Mr Regmi.

Regmi also informed the Australian had been living in Nepal for last three years.
