Glenroy to get upgraded train station and level crossing to go

Melbourne's northern suburb of Glenroy, which many Victorian Nepalis call their home, will soon have an upgraded railway station with the nearby level crossing gone by 2022.

Acting Premier Lisa Neville joined Acting Minister for Transport Infrastructure Melissa Horne and Member for Pascoe Vale Lizzie Blandthorn at Glenroy Station today to announce the project design as planning continues.Glenroy Road is one of the most congested roads in Melbourne’s north, with about 19,000 vehicles using the level crossing each day.The project will also deliver a new Glenroy Station and be the second level crossing to go on the Craigieburn Line, which is used by 36,500 travellers each week day.
