The blackest day in Tasmania when 35 people lost their lives to gun violence

It's been 25 years since the Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania, where 35 people lost their lives and 23 others were injured. Gun control campaigners say the anniversary is an important time to reflect on what Australia’s gun laws have been able to achieve and to ensure the laws are not eroded or changed.
